Shiffrin Sets New Record for Most Medals for Alpine World Cup Skiing 156

Michaela Shiffrin of the U.S. has set another new record in alpine skiing at the International Ski Federation (FIS) World Cup.

Shiffrin ranked third in the women's slalom at the 2024-2025 FIS Alpine World Cup in Ore, Sweden on the 9th (local time) with a combined time of 1:42.27 in the first and second periods.

This marks Shiffrin's 156th career "top three" record at the World Cup.

Shiffrin, who has won 100 Alpine World Cups and holds the most records in this category, became the lone No. 1 player, surpassing the record of 155 Alpine World Cups, which was tied with Inemar Stenmark (retired, Sweden).
